  • Cockroach wisdom

Several months ago a neighbor moved out of the house they rented, they were nice people but very dirty and they I believe sold drugs.

As I talked to the owner of the house after the neighbors moved out he told me how filthy they were, and that they had cockroaches. He was going to have an exterminator come and spray the house. I was told to spray my yard and my house prior, because once they sprayed the house next door the roaches would be moving. I couldn’t imagine roaches crossing the yard and coming to my house, but I was wrong. I found two roaches; we had never had a single roach in the 22 years we lived here. I quickly sprayed the yard and begun spraying our house, it seemed to take care of the problem, it has been a few months and still thank God no roaches.

Now here is something to think about:

Perhaps as the end grows closer true Christians will come forth, and as they over come problems in their lives the demons will flee from them. Once the demons flee from the true Christians they shall gather more intensely upon the remaining people.

That would mean greater temptations would come forth, and people would become much more evil. Perhaps that is why we are warned to seek holiness in order to escape what is going to come upon the whole earth?

  • Truer words have never been spoken Lewis…The more we cling to the Lord, the stronger our Faith becomes….And the stronger it gets, the more we are able to fight against, and beat out, temptation…..

The birth pangs are getting stronger, and the temptations are starting to pour out over the non-believers…..Just like the Lord says, we will be persecuted for His Name’s Sake…..As long as we remain focused upon Him, the persecution will mean nothing….We may lose our lives here, but we will remain alive in Him….Forever!!

  • @ellie1945 - Amen Ellie! The number of the enemy doesnt increase, it is just the number of victims they have to choose from decreases allowing more on less.

  • This is very good Bro. Lewis. It reminds me what I tell people when I am praying for demons to come out the one I am praying for.
I tell the this “If we are not prayed up and living right, do not be near while we pray. Leave and go else where.”
Reason being like the roaches they will go somewhere else and that could be you.
Also if we do not live a very good life for the Messiah, people will see the mess we are and think all Religious people are like that and they think they can live that way too. Bro. Doc

  • @BroDoc - Very true Bro Doc!! That is how our preachers always did, they made sure the weak in faith were not near by while praying against demons. I consider us claiming Christianity living a sinful life is the true meaning of blapheming. Thank you

  • @Lewis1122 - You are very welcome Bro. Lewis. Bro. Doc

  • Hi, Lewis, this is a good post, and no truer words have been spooken.

  • @liz4christ - Thank you Liz! I try to learn from all I see, I know that the same God who inspired the Word created the world and through what we see his truth can be proven.

  • With apartment living, people are in and out, and boric acid is a really useful tool. I am grateful that the only time I’ve seen a roach was when my eldest son was an infant (had new neighbors above us)… but the best choice is the one they poke actual holes in the wall, a foam is pumped in, and it is bug free for many years! As a renter, I have boric acid I can put under the fridge, dishwasher, and so forth.

I am all for working on fixing myself, and right now I am trying to figure out “forgiveness”. I know that all sin are the same, one isn’t bigger than another, but the human part of me says me forgetting to stick a plastic bottle in recycle isn’t as bad as someone that murders someone? And than how do you forgive someone that has no shame/remorse, or you no longer have contact, or other factors?

  • @BroDoc - I’ve never thought to pray for demons to be removed

  • @Growedup - I have heard boric ascid works real good, I never have tried it though.

Man does judge sin on different levels, but to God and one day to us sin will be sin. Not for sure about the recylcing bottle thing, here in our city they dont make much about it.

We have to learn to forgive uncondtionally, for with what measure we use it is measured to us.

Those with stronger faith pray against demons, it isnt safe for just any one. Our best defense is by our seeking holiness they have no door to attack us through.

  • @Growedup - Wonder why Sis. Bev you never thought of this? Bro. Doc
