Be humble like sandy soil
I got my raised garden beds all cleaned out and tilled and ready for next year. There were several lessons I had learnt through this year which will prosper my garden next year.
As I pulled up my plants I noticed how huge the rooting system was, the greater the rooting system the greater the plants produce. My soil is very sandy, and that allows the plant’s roots to grow quicker and easier. But the sandy soil doesn’t hold the moisture or the nutrients the plants need, so they must be continually fed and watered.
How we learn is based upon the same principle, a humble person is like sandy soil their roots grow quick. But they must continue being fed from the word and the living water to produce fruits.
Joh_15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

THIS IS VERY TRUE BRO. LEWIS, WE NEED TO BE FEED ALL THE TIME. YOUR RIGHT SANDY SOIL DRAINS FAST. THIS IS VERY GOOD. BRO. DOC
Amen!
Thank you Lewis. We know what happens when we don’t get fed by the Word - we wither and die!
God Bless
@BroDoc - Thank you Bro Doc, we are designed to constantly be growing and the only way is to be conected to the vine.
@alterb4ego - Thank you for the visit and the comment, they are appreciated.
@Gabriel333 - Agreed Sis Janet, it seems so obvious yet when we look around we see a world that is starving to death. Amos tells us of the great famine of hearing the word.
@Lewis1122 -
Hearing the Word is our instruction on what we have to do…. so doing the word once we have is heard it is so important.
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only,
deceiving your own selves.” James 1-22
~*Amen*~
So what did you have planted/plan to plant?
@Want2FitIn2Fat2Fit - Thank you for the visit. I had egg plants, tomatoes, collards, sweet banana peppers and bell peppers. Pics of my garden are on my page if you want to see.
@Growedup - Thanks Bev, your visits and comments are always appreciated.
@Lewis1122 - Oooooh all my favorite foods, especially eggplant ! I make a HELL of of an eggplant parmaseana and egg plant lasagna. You ever try recipes like that ? xoxo
@Want2FitIn2Fat2Fit - Yes I have, I use to not like them then a friend taught me to presoak the egg plant in salt water for about 15-20 minutes, then rinse after, it removes the bad flavor. I also enjoy rolling my eggplant slices in jiffy cornbread mix then frying it, it give them a sweet flavor.
Yeah I soak eggplants too.I love them fried ! But never in Jiffy cornbread. Sounds YUMMY ! What on earth can you serve it with, to compliment the flavors? A tomato dish?….like, stuffed tomatoes?
@Want2FitIn2Fat2Fit - The last time I fried it in Jiffy I also had a type of spanish rice, but I am sure it would be great with stuffed tomatoes, or even breaded tomatoes. But perhaps today since I am having beans I might fry up some eggplants with Jiffy cornbread instead of having cornbread?
@Lewis1122 - Ohhhhh that sounds DELICIOUS! Now I am hungry again and I just ate !
Very true…with out the constant feeding, we’ll dry out and whither…
Hope all has been well, Lewis…
