  • We are righteous

We are righteous in the eyes of God through our faith in that Jesus paid the debt for sin for the world.

Rom_4:3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Through our faith built in the presence of God we are counted righteous.

Rom_10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Jas_2:22 Seest thou how faith (Of Abraham) wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

Through faith we claim the promises to the righteous.

Psa_34:15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

Psa 118:19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD: 20This is the door of the Lord's house; the workers of righteousness will go in through it.

Pro_15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

Pro_10:24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

Pro_11:8 The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

Pro_13:21 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.

Psa_5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Psa_11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Psa_34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Psa_37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Psa_37:39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

Psa_55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Psa_92:12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Pro_10:3 The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.

  • Against his word

Do we try to get God to lie? I know that sounds like a simple question and we quickly shout out no way. Yet we at times desire God to go against his very word in answer to our prayers.

Do we pray for a closer relationship with God, and yet not follow his word?

Jer_29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Do we pray for God’s rewards, his word tells us how to obtain it.

Heb_11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Do we struggle in life and pray to prosper in things we do, do we follow his word?

Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Do we pray for God to use us to touch others lives, and yet not follow his word?

Luk_14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

Deut 30:19  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

  • Faith and Works

Rom_5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Eph_2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Jas_2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Jas_2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

Jas_2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

A few of the works that make up our faith.

Luk_6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Mat_5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Mat_6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Mat_6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

    Mat_5:44  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

  • If our desire is to change the world, than we begin our journey by first being changed ourselves, and when we arrive at the end of our journey, we will discover the world has already been changed.
