  • Reproving others

As I was spot spraying weeds in my yard I also sprayed a couple feet into the neighbor’s yards. If I don’t then soon their weeds are growing through the fence onto my property. I have at times asked the neighbors if they wanted me to cut down saplings they have growing in their yards. I know if I do not do something the neighbors would allow the saplings to continue growing and soon be too much of a burden and cost to get rid of. It is so much easier and cheaper to keep up then to catch up.

They simply don’t care, in which I do, so I must take action. As I thought upon it, I realized that is why we reprove those around us; we know that their life style of sin will encroach upon us. An example of this, the show Ellen Degenerate is a very popular show; it features a lesbian which often shares about her wife. Because many watch it, her show continues, causing many to be desensitized to the horrible sinful nature of homosexuality. Those that watch it are supporting it, they are showing they have no love for their fellow man. How could one say they love others and yet support sin? So it is up to us for those we care about, to point out what they are doing to others.

Can one say they love their brother and support sin?

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

1Jn 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Satan has enough help, we must live in a way we are NOT supporting sin.

  • This is so true Lewis….If you watch others (support) who sins, then you are not what you claim to be….I don’t watch Ellen, for the very fact of her life style….It is wrong, and you can’t support wrong, and be righteous too….

  • @ellie1945 - Amen Ellie, we are to be the light to the darkened world, and when we support sin we are part of the darkness.

  • Unfortunately, there is no such thing as constructive criticism.

  • I guess people love to say things even if they mean well Bro. Lewis. Bro. Doc

  • I boycotted Ellen back when she “came out” on prime time……I boycotted Oprah when she said Jesus was not the only way to heaven……..but I have a couple of gay friends on facebook……..I figure they need to read the verses I post more than I need to be isolated from the pictures they post (nothing sexual)  one of them was someone who was my best friend as a child for three years…..until one day he mentioned someone being gay and I said it didn’t matter, they were going to hell and he attacked me……he didn’t hurt me but he was very upset and I didn’t realize why until now when he found me on facebook………I just pray for him and keep posting verses.

  • @ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - That is unfortunately Bro Billy that is true for those of the world for pride prevents them from a willingness to improve.

  • @BroDoc - Agreed, Bro Doc! In their darkened state of mind they do as Satan directs. Thank you.

  • @alterb4ego - Very good Crystal, we must not support the enemy, but sharing with the sinners is our goal. As long as we do not endanger others through friendships we have with them then it is to show light to those in the darkness. Our friendship with unbelievers is limited, for how can two walk together unless they walk in agreement. Thank you

  • @Lewis1122 - This is why the current man in D.C. is the way he is. Bro. Doc

  • @BroDoc - Agreed Bro Doc, most politicians have/are serve/serving Satan by serving their own carnal nature. I truly believe none is out to actually lead us into preparation for the Antichrist they are just simply doing and have done what serves their carnal nature. But I also say, you cant get daisies out of the sewer, those in authority over us represent the masses around us.

  • @Lewis1122 - Very true Bro. Lewis. Bro. Doc

  • Helen, is an amazing figure to observe even if she is of an alternate lifestyle.  You never see her being melancholy, she is always smiling.  Always seems like she is enjoying life.  She doesn’t exhibit a “woe is me” lifestyle.  She doesn’t appear to be unhappy about anything.  I think many Christians could learn a good lesson from her.  I ask my self why is it this person comes across as super loving, kind, and caring all the time, when most Christians are the opposite.    A lot of Christians don’t exhibit half her attributes.  I am a Christian, just a little stumped by this.

  • @amber_rosebud - To
begin with Rose, Ellen like most comedians have a facade to maintain. The Word of God tells us homosexuality is a
sin, just as all sin is alluring that I am sure is also part of Ellen’s allure.
The word also tells us Jesus was a man of sorrows, because with much wisdom
comes much sorrow. Christians care for the people of the world, it is hard to
know so many are suffering and their final destination shall not be in the
presence of God to be able to walk around cheerful. We are told homosexuality
is like the final sign that man has become depraved, and helping others to grow
desensitized to that is not showing love. If you have children would you want
them to idolize drug abusers or rapists, or like such?

    Pro
28:10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall
    himself into his own pit…Isa
5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for
light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
