Avoiding trouble
As I was reading 2 Kings Chapter 10 I could see how a believer who was true to his faith would be protected. King Jehu wanted to get rid of all the Baal worshippers. So he had a great feast, and any that worshipped Baal was supposed to come, all those that showed up were killed. Living our faith does much to protect us, it keeps us out of places we should not be, and it keeps us from befriending those we should not be friend. As our faith grows our living according to that faith protects us in many ways.

I know I should have lived my faith better……especially in my younger years!
@alterb4ego - I wish I would have had a faith when I was younger, perhaps many of my trials would have been avoided. It isnt easy to follow our faith, but as we discover more and more not results in pain and doing results in reward it makes it much easier. Thanks Crystal!
I
will admit that I have had some things happen these days that prove God’s
favor/blessing. But I also think that like Joshua and the people of Israel were
in battle, Moses raised his hands. They were winning as long as they were held high,
loosing as they dropped… and he asked for help to keep them raised. Exodus 17:11 Please
do not think I am that intelligent, read it today! ~*Smiles*~
But, sometimes in order to “win” we
need a little help to “keep those hands up”
@Growedup - Amen we do need help Bev! We are all part of the body of Christ, and as such we each need each other.
yes, I see that too… there are many places to be… so, that’s easy when we are where we belong… with Him.
@eshunt@revelife - Amen Bro Hunt! Thank you.
I always enjoy your entries because they always center on the bible, and I find knowledge through you. I miss you at my place. I loved when you would sign. Keep up the faith. I am listening to the bible on CD that my brother in law got me. I find out I’m learning a lot more this way!
God bless you!!
@Nancybratt - When I use to travel a great distant to work I always listened to the bible on CD. The word is precious to us, when we read or listen. There are wonderful stories in the word that help us see clearly. Thanks Nan for coming by.
I agree Lewis….I’m pretty much like you…Wishing I’d lived in Faith as a youngster, but….
Once we accept Jesus as our Savior, and give Him control of our lives, that Faith, the size of a mustard seed, starts to grow….And continues to grow, as long as we keep our focus upon the Lord…..Even after all these years, Jesus is not finished with me yet…That mustard seed continues to grow daily…
@ellie1945 - AMEN Ellie! That is the importance of being in the word, it is fertilizer for faith! The one great thing about accepting Christ late in life we value what we have now as a very special gift.
Yes, living our faith also brings answered payer which I do appreciate very much. There are times, that a longer wait is expected or a different answer comes, but it does come. :)
@TexasWoman59 - Amen Liz! Thank you.
