Counterfeit
When something is needed and it is in small amounts it becomes very valuable. In 1 Samuel 3:1 we read the word of God was very precious/valuable because it was not common. When there is a need for the word, and it becomes valuable the counterfeits come forth.
1Sa 3:1 And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision.
Amo_8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
Mar_13:6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Mat_24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Joh_8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
1Jn_2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
1Jn_3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Can you imagine being misled by some one who tells you what you don’t want to hear? The false prophets will tell us what we want to hear and what makes us feel good. One thing they will not tell us is that we shall reap what we sow.
Gal_6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
1Jn_4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Luk_6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
2Ti_4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

~*AMEN*~… I can’t imagine what else to add other than “Amen”. On Joel Osteen his wife covered this (sort of). She related to loving a fruit, so she took a seed from it, and over time it turned into a tree and had many of that fruit (multiplied and was just like she bought from the grocery store).
@Growedup - When needs are there, there shall come forth the potential to fulfill that need. We must dig and seek to make sure what is presented to us is what we truly need or is it just something we settled for because we don’t have the patience. There have been many women who have discovered the hard way that the man they met wanted only a physical fulfillment and not love. There need for a mate resulted in their settling for the first one that came along. Which usually turns out worse as they leave them with a child making it even harder to find the right one.
@Lewis1122 - I
have to admit that God has a way of working with all of us in his own way… We
recently faced a parenting dilemma with our middle child. Just so happens that I was trying to do a
self-help book, which covered exactly what tools are needed to help him. Our
youngest son is driven to succeed with competition and rewards. However our
middle son when faced with competition will fold and do nothing. The same
definitions that helped me learn what drives me to reach goals helped me to
help him. And considering he has a laid back personality, has always been ahead
of his peers academically, this isn’t a problem we thought we’d face. Normally
he is done with his class work pretty fast and has time to spare to catch up on
other things. But the answers to the lessons are usually given in one way or
another…
@Lewis1122 - ~*Raises
Hand*~… I have and am still learning the HARD WAY. I’ve had times when I wish
I had the option of dumping my eldest son on his biological father’s doorstep.
Apparently this is something that God has chosen me to do? And it has been a
truly hard lesson. I have to say, please don’t ever give grief to a teen mom,
she’ll soon endure more than you can ever do or say to her. I didn’t have the
option of dumping my kid on others like some do, and I made darn sure to finish
school. I was 16 hen I got pregnant, 17 when I had my eldest, and I showed up
to class carrying him in his car seat. Reality shows pay those girls to do
those shows, I didn’t have that option. Than the mistakes of parenting out of
guilt that brings me to current problems faced… so I hope others never down
people in that situation, life will do it in one way or another.
All
the mistakes I made the first time around actually became a blessing years
later when I was surprised with my middle son. We didn’t plan and used
precautions (and why I call hubby Mr. 2%). Our youngest was planned, I don’t
like how “only children” are selfish and so forth. But, being on both
sides, having just the one, than having the two together did teach me about the
mentality of parents and why. When I had just the one child he could do no
wrong, and he was “all I had”, so I understand parents and how/why
they think the things they do.
These are hard teachings.
@Growedup - Agreed, the lessons today sure can make tomorrow much easier. To bad we have to take so many lumps the hard way. LOL
@ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - Bro Billy I think there are people that believe that the anti christ will be easy to discern, yet the word warns us to the contrary. All those Pharisees of Jesus time were accepted by most and they are the ones that led the crowd to crucify their savior.
Awesome verses! Thanks. ~ Pete
I see apostasy in the church, but I also know there are so many different religions out there……..something for everyone
@Evangelist_Guy - Yes they are Bro Pete, and what those verses show us helps us to be prepared. Thank you!
@alterb4ego - I agree, something for everyone perhaps is the problem. I would think eventually we would have a true church and in it would fold the true believers, for a house divided will fall. Thank you!
@Lewis1122 - Hahaha… Sometimes I wonder if I can learn any other ways than “the hard way”… my head hurts from being smacked by life!
@Growedup - LOL,
