  • All saved

1Jn 2:2 He (Jesus) is the offering for our sins; and not for ours only, but for all the world. (BBE)

1Ti 2:4 Who (God) will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

2Pe_3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

If Jesus died for all men, and its God’s will that all men be saved, then are all men saved? For most that is an easy question, but for those that come here and do ask that, here is the answer No! Did Jesus die for the sins of the whole world, he sure did. Like placing a meal upon the table, not all will eat it, it is their choice. We have been given free will, which allows us to go contrary to God’s will.

Through Jesus’ death we have all the promises, but through our belief we receive it or not.

For the most part we shall reap what we sow.

Joh_16:27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

Joh_3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Joh_3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

2Jn_1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

  • Your posts are great basic Bible education. We need more of that.  The Bible is becoming forgotten.

  • @ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove - Thanks Bro Billy! I took martial arts for years, and one of the main teachings our instructor taught us was the importance of the basics. The basics are the foundation by which everything else is held in place.

  • You are so right Lewis……not everyone is born again……and not all people are God’s children……all are God’s creation, but not all are his children.  Good post.

  • yes we have free will and if we r not careful free will can destroy us good post gbu and have a happy easter love bobbie

  • @alterb4ego - Thank you Crystal, it is in believing we recieve.

  • @edsgirl12 - Thank you Bobbie, GBU also!

  • I don’t think “free will” is part of a Christian’s life.  Why?  Because God has stated in his word how we are to live to please him.

  • @TexasWoman59 - Amen Liz, as Christians it is God’s will we seek to do, using Jesus as an example. Jesus said he did not his own will but the will of the Father, God’s will for us is the perfect way. Thank you.

  • You are so right my friend….We have a choice, but…Not everyone will choose to follow Jesus….He died for all, but not all will believe it as the truth….

There are those, who still choose to live in and for the world….Yet there is still time…Time for them to have a change of heart, and choose to live for Jesus…..But that time is short…..Very short!

  • @ImNotUglyIJustNeedLove -

A Resounding Amen is going up…I so agree with you!

  • @ellie1945 - I agree Ellie! Time is getting real short, as hard times come those that havent turned to God now will find it harder to turn as they see the chaos. Thank you
