Question about idols
If you will please, share with me your definition of what it means to serve an idol. We must first understand what it means to serve an idol before we can ask our selves if we serve any idols.

Bro. Lewis this will be short and too the point. ANYTHING THAT WE PUT BEFORE YAHVAH, OR WE COVET. Bro. Doc
I believe Bro. Doc has answered the question quite appropriately
@alterb4ego - Yes I agree Crystal, anything we value enough to seperate us from God. Thank you!
@BroDoc - Very good Bro Doc, anything we value enough to seperate between us and God. Thank you!
Yes I also agree with Doc. Idols can be the tv, computer, sports, film stars etc etc .
@Gabriel333 - Yes agreed Sis Janet, that is what I hope people acknowledge that we can make anything into an idol, from TV to movie stars to from people to things. Thank you.
“Objects”… like a cross, or statue, or physical object that we place forward as if it were God. But it can also be other things
@Growedup - Very good Bev, agreed anything we place in our life in front of God.
I agree with Doc, anything and everything can/could become an idol…Whatever takes over and consumes our thoughts can become this…it can be physical things or even things like worry… if we spend all our time worrying – it replaces our focus on God…
@Sisterinchrst - I agree Jes, very good. Thank you
