  • We want it now!

I created a FB account, my wife was using at times my mom’s account to copy family and friend pics they would post so we decided to create an account. I ventured into one of the strategy games because I have heard so many talk about them. I noticed quickly that it was a game that would occupy all your time if you wanted to actually do any good on it.

But the interesting part was how they feed upon this generation. If you are willing to spend money you can speed up the process of the game, can you imagine people paying money just to speed up the game? I am sure there are some that do, we have become a now generation and they feed upon that type of mindset.

One of the traits of Christianity is patience; we can see how having it prevents the world from profiting off of us.

Luk_21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

  • Oh Lewis!  you fell for the games….Not to fear, I did too, when I first started on face book…No more….I deleted the games, and now when people send invites, I go to apps, scroll down to the invitations, then block them…..Not the person, the games, lol!!

I, or a person, would think that hey I blocked them all, when a new game pops up, lol!!  I usually wait until I get 3 or 4 invites, before I go block them….

I just don’t have time to play the games…..

  • LOL I had to check out what every one was talking about, and it helped me to create this post, so I did learn from it. I dont have very many friends on it, nor will I accept to many of my relatives it all depends upon what kind of stuff they post. I WONT allow curse words, if I catch them. I dont go on there enough to read all the little captions every one writes.

It is sneaky how they use peoples need it now attitude to rake in money. But it shows us one of the blessings we obtain from having patience that we are not used by a weakness in our spirit.

  • I will say this Bro. Lewis YOU PLAYED RIGHT INTO THE HANDS OF SATAN BY HAVING A FACE BOOK ACCOUNT. This is how the Government watches you, the IRS, The Employers, the Police, the School, and I could go on.
Ye Shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
Facebook is the devil and having one is very wrong.
You will never see me there.
If there were no social sites I would never have any.
I am not falling for the trick of the devil and be on Face Book. Bro. Doc

  • @BroDoc - As far as being watched the information I posted is what any one could find out any way, in fact when you fill out an application for a job they even check out your credit score. The governement alreeady knows every site we go to, and that allows them to easily profile us. Having the site allows us to go on and collect pics family and friends post, as far as using it for a social media site I am not into sharing my daily routine like many. Yes I do agree many have been led astray through those, internet alone can be a great weapon for Satan to use against us. I am on the internet to share my beliefs and to read what others have to share, and I do not believe FB is for that.

  • I post verses on facebook and sometimes expound upon them with how they tie into other verses in the Bible……..most of my friends post verses…….anything can be evil…….even religion………I noticed in Genesis……..the Lord said DONT eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil……..it was SATAN who WANTED them to eat from that tree…….now……..why would satan want men to know the difference between good and evil?  They have been judging each other with religion and killing each other over it ever since Cain and Abel…….I think they already knew about good……..they knew all they needed to know…….

  • @alterb4ego - Thank you Crystal! That is a great question, why would Satan want man to be disobedeint to God? Perhaps part of it is that Satan knew he could only touch man while he is away from God? It was after the fall that Abel was killed. Satan (the theif) comes for to kill steal and destroy. My question is, why was the forbidden fruit tree placed in the Garden in the first place? Without it being placed there man would have had no free will, because without rules how can one be free to break them. The didnt value what they had because they never knew what it was like to be without it, their disobedeince has allowed man to experience evil which eventually leads many to value good over it. Deu_30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

  • @Lewis1122 - really good points.

  • @alterb4ego -

Satan was jealous because he had lost heaven – so he tries to tempt as many of God’s children as he can so they will not gain what he lost

  • …it can consume a person if you allow it to…I enjoy using it to connect with my out of state family (which is ALL my family)…I go on there and can see how my aunts/uncles are…how my dieing cousin is and send her a quick message of love… What is intended for bad can be a tool for good…I post scriptures and daily inspirations — hoping those lost in my circles will grab hold of the hope we know as Jesus…

The Lord said “Go out into the world and make disciples” how can we, if we live in a bubble? I’m not saying this to start a debate, only that we must see opportunity to witness and share the gospel in the streets and ally ways of this world…

  • @Gabriel333 - He sure does offer up all they could possiably desire, but we know how to have victory, on ecan only be tempted by that which they desire. Thank you

  • @Sisterinchrst - I agree Jes, there are some things that do make life much easier, but with our carnal desires they can quickly become temptation. I do wonder how many people use money to progress on those games, and how many turn to those games over the word? I noticed back on Multiply how it was dying as more turned to FB. My wife uses ours to get pics of family off of it, most my family that I actually talk to I use the phone or see in person. Thank you
