A thought about the shooting
I have been reading a lot of news on how guns should be banned etc, to the carnal mind that makes sense. But to the Christian the way to stop school shootings is by getting God back into schools.
Deu_30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Perhaps it is time for Christians to quit compromising and instead of becoming more tolerant that we become less tolerant of sin?

Like I have said all along about weapons. They could sit for years in plain site and they are not going to kill one person.
It is the people that do the killing.
Now, when a car kills someone do they try to remove all cars?
Of course not.
The reason they want weapons removed, is so they can make this country to be run by a Dictator.
If we got rid of auto weapons that shoot many rounds at a time fine.
But if we are going to band all weapons that is not right.
Maybe every teacher in the United States should have a right to carry weapons, like a pistol in the classroom and those that were going to shot people there would have second thoughts.
Your right, taking any kind of religion out of the schools is wrong.

@BroDoc - Agreed Bro Doc! To control the populace one must first take away any chance of his ability to retaliate whether fiancailly or with weapons. I read the other day in which many more people are killed a year in alcohol related deaths and yet when they made alcohol illegal the only ones that profited were the criminals. When emotions are used to lead the outcome isnt always a wise choice, we allowed fear pride and vengance to lead us into Iraq. Thankyou!

Doc is right, it's not the gun, but the person behind the gun, who is the one we need to be careful of....
I hear that there has been a massive sale of the Bushwacker AR15, since the shooting...People are buying them up, because they are supposedly going to be banned...
I read in this morning's Paper, that Cerebes, the maker of these Assault Rifles, have put the Bushwacker part of the Business up for sale...They were forced into it, by the calls, and actions from the Senators, who have been screaming gun control since the shooting...
@ellie1945 - Thanks Ellie! I have a couple of friends that have the AR15, both use them as hunting guns. Unlike most guns the assault weapons are much easier to take care of and made stronger. The regular hunting rifles when they mess up are very hard to fix and you need a professional, which prevents the average person from the ability to have them fixed, but what they call the assault weapons are very hard to break and very easy to fix. Make the poor poorer and they loose their ability to influence change, take away their weapons and they loose their ability to defend themselves.
@Lewis1122 - Very true Bro. Lewis, I guess then cars kill, remove them, alcohol kills remover it, weapons kill, remove them, smoking kills, remove all that cause it. See when they pick and chose that is discrimination. Bro. Doc

I hate to say this Bro. Lewis, bringing back Yahvah will nol help, unless the Churches fix having homosexual preachers, marriages, remarring divoriced people etc.
Like the Black Brethren sing, "Get right church and lets go home."
Scripture tells us that charity begins at home, and this means the Assembly.
We need to instill morals in people Bro. Lewis, and when we do this, they will want Yahvah. Bro. Doc

Br Lewis, Scripture should always be our fist choice for order and peace.. but People have rejected that path seriously and multitudes don't have time or make time to understand scripture and what it is telling us.. Your right on track.

Amen my friend. I t hink they need to put God back INTO schools. Did you notice that when we had God in schools there wasnt as much violence? They are trying to take God out of everything. The shootings wwere an absolute tragedy and I cry every time I think about it. They buried t he last child today.

I too have been giving the school shootings a lot of thought, and it makes me physically ill. My sons’ school have forced volunteering, I’ve only once now actually signed in, half the time I don’t think they even know who is on campus, and I’ve had some horrible thoughts go through my head. I keep getting visuals of one happening on my kids’ campus, one has the playground in full view of the street which can be a drive by, the other plays and eats on the playground, and than next year they’ll have much together on the same schedule. I tell them that if they see a gun on the playground to RUN, classroom listen to the teacher.
I know this sounds weird but God is in my son’s school, we have Christian and Jewish, and a few students that don’t celebrate even birthdays… but both of the main are celebrated in school. I don’t talk to students when volunteering because I know “church and state” must be kept separate, plus I don’t know how far they bend state rules. Not supposed to have food/drinks but we still do them for birthdays in class too.
@Growedup - I do believe the word of God, when we serve God both us and our children shall live. We cannot live in fear, for living in fear is not living, if it wasnt for news I would never know so much evil as there is in the world. Is news good or bad?
